“I surrender to the ocean, to the moon, to the stars, to the sun, to the earth. Bestowed by beauty all around me; I am humble. I respect life and promise to honour its gift. I will nourish my body and too my soul with the nutrients of love. I am where I am meant to be. I live in today, right now. I am present.”—Affirmation written by Miann Scanlan, February 26th 2013. I want to live simply. I want to sit by the window when it rains and read books I’ll never be tested on. I want to paint because I want to, not because I’ve got something to prove. I want to listen to my body, fall asleep when the moon is high and wake up slowly, with no place to rush off to. I want not to be governed by money or clocks or any of the artificial restraints that humanity imposes on itself. I just want to be, boundless and infinite.
I had trouble thinking of someone at first but It has just come to me, a celeb that I find annoying is Gino D’acampo! :- / I’ve seen him a few times on Celebrity Juice and the things that he says are just awful! He comes across to me as a very shallow and chauvinistic and just leaves me feeling mad when he talks…
“My whole life I’ve been telling myself: “don’t be afraid.” And it is only now that I’m realizing how stupid that is. Don’t be afraid. Like saying: “don’t move out of the way when someone tries to punch you” or “don’t flinch at the heat of a fire” or “don’t blink.” Don’t be human. I’m afraid. And you’re afraid and we’re all always going to be afraid. Because that’s the point. What I should be telling myself is: “be afraid, but do it anyway. Live anyway.”—(via wordsthat-speak)
I’m not sure :S I’m not to keen on heights :S Also, I have no sense of direction at all!! So if I ever decide to go off anywhere by myself, especially somewhere I’m not familiar with, it would probably take forever to find wherever I’m going or to get back to where I was lol That can be pretty scary :S :D
“Around us, life bursts with miracles—a glass of water, a ray of sunshine, a leaf, a caterpillar, a flower, laughter, raindrops. If you live in awareness, it is easy to see miracles everywhere. Each human being is a multiplicity of miracles. Eyes that see thousands of colors, shapes, and forms; ears that hear a bee flying or a thunderclap; a brain that ponders a speck of dust as easily as the entire cosmos; a heart that beats in rhythm with the heartbeat of all beings. When we are tired and feel discouraged by life’s daily struggles, we may not notice these miracles, but they are always there.”—Thich Nhat Hạnh (via shaktilover)
Me and my husband don’t actually have TV, we do own a television, we just don’t have the aerial plugged in, or have a tv license :D We just don’t get tv, it’s all adverts trying to get you to buy crap, or it’s full of game shows, reality shows, it’s just utter rubbish! :-/
Although, when we did have tv, I used to enjoy watching Spongebob and Murder She Wrote lol :D
